Okay, let me just start by saying that I find kissing gross. The shippy bits are fine, but the kissy bits make me feel a bit uncomfortable. Just letting you know in advance that I’m going to find it hard to go over the kissing scene in a lot of detail.

Plagg is incredibly insensitive, for a kwami. If he’s as old as Tikki, then surely he’s had  owners who fell in love with other superheroes. Maybe it’s just happened so many times it’s gotten old, and Plagg’s getting bored. Or maybe kwamis don’t get crushes and he just can’t relate.

Okay, now this confuses me. Not the fact that Chloe rejected him, I mean we all knew that was gonna happen. But why would he develop a crush on her in the first place? She’s a spoiled snob who’s probably never said a single nice thing in her entire life. She’s not smart, funny, kind, creative, talented or even pretty, yet he’s crushing on her. Sometimes, I don’t get humans.

Wow, every fangirl’s favourite superhero has just become a villain. We all find it cute how he sacrifices himself to save Ladybug, but he keeps getting hurt. Why couldn’t he just tell her? Actually that would result in the end of romantic tension that keeps the show going. We all wish he’d told her, but we know it’ll ruin the story. Sorry guys, looks like we’ll just have to wait.

I like how Ladybug doesn’t want to fight Cat Noir, so she runs away instead. Until of course she figures out how to bring him back to normal. If Cat Noir was under a different spell, where he still had his personality, I’m sure this would make him leap over the moon. I killed myself laughing at the part where Ladybug is chasing him, yelling “here kitty kitty.”

In the whole season, I think this scene is one of the best. I have to say, I like seeing Chloe covered in filth, sitting on the ground WAY more than when struts around the school like she owns the place. After staring at this picture for a while I noticed that Chloe’s eyebrows look a lot like flying seagulls. They’re also darker than her hair, which is full of bits of grass.

If you have a room full of miraculers who’ve never seen this episode and you show them this scene, then the screaming will most likely turn you deaf. Then comes the never ending groans of fans, when it turns out Cat Noir doesn’t remember any of it. I’m sure the creators are doing this on purpose, just to tease us.

Aww, poor Cat Noir. He set out promising himself that he’d tell Ladybug he loved her as soon as he saw her, and instead he tried to kill her before receiving a kiss he can’t remember to make him snap out of it. I don’t get why he doesn’t just try again tomorrow, but I guess he got discouraged. Maybe he’d have more success if he planned it out. Tell her to meet you at whatever time in whatever place and tell her there. Don’t confess your feelings to her when she’s running away from a villain, it’s not rocket science!

Plagg can remember everything that happened to Adrien, so did he say that Ladybug kissed him? Listen kwami, you’ve already made your owner depressed, the least you could do is tell him something that he’ll like to hear. Then again, I don’t know if Adrien really trusts Plagg that much. Maybe he already blabbed and Adrien just doesn’t believe him.

It’s pretty obvious why this episode is a fan favourite. It’s so shippy, it could sail over the Pacific Ocean. I wonder if there’ll be another Valentine’s Day episode in a future season. I love how the little ladybug keeps appearing throughout the episode. See if you can spot it in the end card.
